I am a classical pianist, educated in the British, French and German traditions. My artistic development has been significantly influenced during extended residencies in London, Prague, Munich, and Salzburg. My guiding principle both in performance and in teaching is to transcend the physical aspects of pianism – referred to as "le culte du piano" by Alfred Cortot – to enter the realm of pure music-making through imagination, knowledge and creativity. I believe that only through this transcendence are we able to express the true spirit of the music conveyed in the works of the great masters.
